Hello, I'm Alex

I’m a dual-qualified lawyer, lecturer, author and trainer living in London. I have trained over 700 lawyers and worked with clients from 40 countries. My passion for legal education has been recognised by Forbes Women and I was listed as one of the top Women Lawyers involved in charity work and education. I was also shortlisted for the Law Society Legal Heroes awards. I am currently Legal Counsel for a charity based in London.
Alongside delivering lectures and seminars for Bar associations and universities, I create legal content.

My journey

I have spent 20 years working in the legal sector, advising on cross-jurisdictional disputes and domestic law in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, EU law, family and immigration law.
I have advised clients from over 40 countries across 6 continents, both individuals and families, from small and medium business owners to large companies, entrepreneurs, start-ups, artists, students and numerous others. I practised in two jurisdictions: Poland and the UK.

I have worked with clients from

Poland, the UK, the US, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France, Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ukraine, Czechia, Slovakia, Finland, Norway, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Oman, Malaysia, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Congo, Nigeria, Gambia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Mexico.

Communication matters

I have also worked with vulnerable clients who have been survivors of exploitation and domestic abuse. My clients have been people from a variety of backgrounds, including native English speakers, bilinguals, dual-nationals and immigrants from all over the world, many of whom spoke with different accents and for whom English was not their first language.
Some of my clients had gone through so much trauma that they did not want to speak at all. I believe the key to communication is not only hearing what is said, but also understanding what is not said.
By asking the right questions, you can significantly improve your communication skills and work more effectively.
LAW AND EDUCATION

Having trained, qualified, and practised in both civil and common law jurisdictions, I am experienced in navigating between these two legal systems, though it has not been without its challenges.
This journey inspired me to combine my passion for languages and education with my legal experience, and start a training consultancy for international lawyers and students keen to learn about the English legal system and work with international clients.
Through this work, I’ve had the opportunity to engage in exciting international projects and explore legal content creation. If you would like to collaborate, please feel free to get in touch.
