Introduction to the Criminal Justice System: University of Gdańsk
Back at the University of Gdańsk!
This time, I spoke about the fundamentals of the criminal justice system, comparing Poland and the UK. We explored the legal profession, criminal trials, and the role of lawyers in supporting victims of crime in accessing justice.
Jury or no jury?
We also discussed jury trials and, as always, I asked students whether they would prefer a criminal trial in Gdańsk or in London (if they were the defendant). The answers are always interesting.
Looking forward to future lectures.
